Have you seen the remote?
Do you know where my keys are?
Sorry I'm late, I lost my wallet.
It must have been lost in the mail.
Excuse me, where is the lost and found?
Audit: U.S. lost track of $9 billion in Iraq funds
"I copy that" is walkie-talkie talk for - I understand, will do, gotcha, ok, alright, yup, uh-huh, and much more depending on the inflection of the voice.

dare
I always try and follow through with a dare, and I give them out only when I want them to happen (I have given two out in the past month, one followed through, one did not). Thus, when I read the following, I had to do it, it may not be an all time low, but an effort nonetheless.
Okay, now somebody follow my lead and do the same. Write a post, leave a comment, if you're not ready to sink to new all-time lows on the public humiliation scale, shoot me an email - Chishiki Lauren
Ive wanted to be Peter Pan for as long as I can remember. I never liked the Peter Pan Brand Peanut butter I dont know why maybe because it was too expensive to buy and I was jealous of other kids that could have it. I only ran away twice once I was just hiding in a crawl space (I think I did something wrong but I was there for a few hours) and the other time was before I knew how to write well I found a picture of myself and wrote, peter and an arrow to tell that I had left. My family has the most caring people I know. I very rarely do things (consciously) for the sole reason of impressing someone but when I DO wow. Ive always wanted to do too much I took too many classes in high school and college, I did too many extracurricular activities (they conflicted), and now when it is all up to me I dont know what to do. I like a 70-30 ratio for being around others (70% with others) it makes me a healthier human. The last two weeks have been 40-60. Next week should be back to 70-30. I have hated one person for the sole reason that he was too much like me. I am a terrible speller if my spelling is correct it means I am using the spell-as-you-go-checker. I am an ENTP in the myers-briggs test thingy I think that was pretty close to what I thought/think I am but I forgot what it means. I really, really miss seeing water in the city I live on an island and never see the water. I dont think people should look to celebrities for advice, but I think all celebrities should have a cause they care about, give money to, and tell others about why not? Britney Spears is trash. Sexy trash. No matter how much fun there is in monopoly, it is only fun if everyone really wants to win. I cant stand bad grammar the spoken kind I write and like to read like it sounds inside my head. I can just about draw all 50 states, sometimes I miss one and the southwest never looks right. I miss Saturday morning cartoons in front of the TV with my honeynut cheerios on the tv tray in a room that smelled like warm butter. I have a really good ear but not very good pitch I can only critic singing and as beckett taught us > being a critic is the lowest insult one can sling. I have only broken one bone twice in my right pointer finger the only thing I would ever change in my body with surgery. It is really hard for me to ask for help. I love taking the ice out of the tray but I hate refilling them. I put m&ms under my tongue to melt them sometimes for minutes. I dont like amplification, I prefer small café concerts to large ones, I hate that broadway theaters all need to be miked, I would rather listen to someone use their voice than a mic what did they used to do 100 years ago? We wonder why we are so fat. Im trying to think of something Ive never told anyone Ill get back to you on that one

gimme more.
if you have more photos from the party below, please, let me know.
for now visit here for birthday fun. (I didn't take enough)
I carried things about 100 flights of stairs today.
I ate at two diners 7 hours apart.
"Space" meeting moved to Wed. (It is my call for help - I am trying to build my building - and I need the builders)
recovering hard core.

... and a good time was had by all.
happy birthday to me.
last night I had a little shin-dig. "shin-dig" good word.
I am now recovering.
have you ever seen "you got served"? bad movie - however, in the dance scenes a large group will form around two teams dance-competing against each other. We made it happen in a big BIG way last night. Trapeze Teacher and Nana vs My Drunken Dance Partner and me surrounded by 50 -75 NYU kids at 4am. was it brung? oh, it was brought. If there are any pictures of said event I will pay top dollar.
Only a little drunk dialing - and a new one "inebriated e-mailing". Always the wrong choice.
Now it's time to move my Philosophy Teacher... to queens.

Katie Couric, you dirty girl.
I'm pretty sure everyone knows Katie talked about sex with teens. Now for the... facts?
---
SUMMARY TABLE: What teens believe constitutes sex
Kissing someone romantically 12%
Touching someone's genitals or private parts [sex] 45%
Oral sex 77%
Sexual intercourse 91%
---
what? wait... so... kissing someone - 12% think is sex. oooohhhh kayyyy.
BUT, how do only 91% think that sexual intercourse is sex... what do the other 9% think??? ummm... "listen, these "birds" hang out with the "bees"..." what? what?
" More than half (54%) of American teens maintain that teens who only engage in oral sex are still virgins."
wait... how is that different then above? you mean 77% think oral is sex - and then 46% think having oral sex loses your virginity... SO 31% don't think having sex is related to losing your virginity.
"Engaging in oral sex is more common among 15 to 16 year-olds (19%) than 13 to 14 year-olds (4%). " --wow who'd a thunk.
so - moral of the story, the internet is not showing enough porn.
that or parents should be honest with their kids - the earlier the better.
Don't worry, I'll be too busy soon for the kid themed entries.

I thought I was being original...
nope - Kidzworld got it before me. (Don't get me started on Xtreme Krazy Spellin')
I was thinking about cyber-crushes: "An attraction to an online persona". You know - blogs, friendster, personals, IM chats, photos, and even google searches. They are fun - that's it.
I am not that original, even "virtual-crush" has been taken. "techno-crush" has not been taken, but it sounds awkward.
so, I shall leave you with the intro to Kidzworld advice column (the italics are mine- bold from article)

worst post ever.
Last night I missed the beginning of "The Daily Show", oh so happy Comedy Central has chosen to have two episodes a day. There was a section on Rice Park in downtown St. Paul. I know it very well... I could explain the whole segment, but that would not be funny nor would it be entertaining. There used to be a Naked lady (Bronze) instead of F. Scott Fitzgerald.
This is the worst post ever. So much I am going to keep it.
Seymour Hersh - good news writin' guy. scary.
anyway...
um...
no, I was trying to think of a worse post. There isn't.

Response that got a bit too long, so here.
I practice mybumhurta yoga.
I actually don't know, my practice has been so scattered over the past 8 or so years, I know how to do everything, I just don't know how to do it well.
but this is where I was.
as for those kids again... I really couldn't help smiling as they pass with huge eyes, and just wanting to touch the snow.
I spent my childhood in the water, snow, or trees.
swim, dive, sail, swim some more, canoe- ski, cross country ski, sled, toboggan (there are scars) snowmen, many forts - tree climbing and tree houses.
I don't know how to play in the city as well as the middle of nowhere.
Do parents send kids, "Out to play" for a few hours unsupervised?
Can they ride their bikes for half a day?
When do you allow riding on the subway alone?
As for kids now - when do you get cell phones? I read this great article (tried to find the link, I actually read the hard copy of the New Yorker) about an eighth grader who had to act like it was another year for a day - he chose a week of 1992. He was amazed at "Notes" passed back and forth... it is all text messages now.
We have a 3 year old who lives above us, the most exercise she gets is running back and forth across the apartment.
What time is dinner? (In Minnesota 5:30 - 6, no later. My whole family ate together)
I really liked growing up.
no.
I really like growing up.
My Trapeze Teacher's Trapeze Teacher (T4) asked me what good happened this year.
I had a great year. Abbreviated version - Got a job on a film. Got lots more jobs 'cus I got along with people. Took a show to Scotland. Started thinking about building a Space. Grew a beard. Went to Africa. All while trying to play with my friends as much as possible.
I only regret a couple things in life (and that had to do with how I treated a couple people - and since then I have been forgiven), But I wouldn't have done anything differently.
thanks.

Couple things before Yoga.
ok - The Aviator. not Excellent. Didn't really like it. The people (Critics) who say they like it are only doing so to sound better than you. It was too long. Editing, pacing, directing - not all that good. It was cool at times,GREAT Acting. but - humph. Please explain it to me if you disagree.
Kids are cool. I live across the street from an elementary school with the saddest playground ever. when walking to the subway I get a crossing guard - it's awesome. As the kids were loving the snow this afternoon I heard multiple parents say, "stay away from the snow." That is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard. "Play in the snow."

Women can't drive and fingers are gay.
According to the BBC -
"Map reading and parking may prove difficult for some women because they were exposed to too little testosterone in the womb, researchers suggest."
and
"Finger length may be an indication of sexual orientation, a controversial study has shown"
I only like prejudices when they have no basis in truth. They are much funnier then.

Ramblings
Not like this blog has a purpose but I shall ramble.
I woke up with a wet face in the middle of the night.
oh, I shall explain... not that exciting, I sleep with the window open. I had slight flurries in my bedroom with the fun wind and snow.
remember when the internet was "dangerous" when you wouldn't sign your name on anything... because someone might hunt you down? Now I want people to find me. If someone knocked on my door, "Hi, I read you blog." sweet. My first mistake online was in... 1992. Prodigy, baby. I signed up for a "free trial" of TimeLife books. Yeah, not so free. 2400 bps modem. Porn took a lot of patience.
I've gotten to a point where I know I am in a dream and can change little things.
I hate the New York Post and Daily News. Hate. "Cops: Teacher got pal to carve up principal's face" anyway- elementary school teacher had a friend cut up this woman's face for transferring his friends - he is 41. I weep for our future.
Rumsfeld won't be going to Germany. He's been charged with war crimes. I didn't know you could charge Americans. We have nothing JapaneseintermentcampsNagasaki to hide.
Arnold Schwarzenegger's Austrian citizenship should be ended over the execution of a convicted killer in the US, a politician in Austria has said. Bold. Arnie has been in too many movies.
The deal aims to tap into Russia's growing thirst for beer, where many still see it as a harmless soft drink. Yeah, I liked Russia.
"Running on lithium ion batteries, it can operate for 1 to 4 hours at a time... Operators work the robot using a 30-pound control unit which has two joysticks, a handful of buttons and a video screen. Quinn says that may eventually be replaced by a "Gameboy" type of controller hooked up to virtual reality goggles." neat. yup, robot made for killing in Iraq.
ok, no more procrastination. back to cleaning. then renting my apartment. then planning a party for myself. weee. (Saturday, B-day on Sunday) Then figuring out how to buy a building.
Anyone know a Lawyer?

room fer rent.
I can't seem to find my charger for my camera, so no exciting pictures.
Saw "Million Dollar Baby", and despite its painfully bad title - really good. I liked it more than "unforgiven". Morgan Freeman plays nearly the exact same character as he does in "Shawshank Redemption"... and there is no problem with that. Swank is good at being a boy, and Eastwood is always great as the reluctant hero-figure.
One of the more important conversations in the film - totally missed because I was watching the poor continuity. I am a nerd.
Move in with Jonah and me. Really. Room for rent. Inquire with management for rental options.
It's really cool in Greenpoint, honest.

Things that make you go hmmm...
I went to the march for women's lives and I was trying to reach my friends at the march via cell phone, unsuccessfully.
Now, this is the same phone that worked during the blackout. I was the only person I know who had service for the whole night - I let other people use the phone to call friends and family. I was told that this was because I have a "non-new york number". Probably.
Now I read something that makes me think that my phone problems were not just because there were 1.15 million people around.
In preparation for the inauguration,
"high-tech surveillance equipment, jamming equipment is being used that would prevent or delay the use of a mobile phone or remote control from setting off an explosive device."
hmmm... maybe that's why my phone and others' didn't work that day.

Is it all or nothing?
My two roommates and I received 4 tickets to a basketball game.
We have an extra ticket and need a ride, so we must invite a person with us for four hours. Only two of our common friends have cars.
Friend "A" we have only known for awhile, but we know "B" and his friends for much longer. "A" is smarter, but sort of boring. I am pretty sure "B" has been stealing from us when he comes over - in fact, it has been proved.
A nearly split vote covering multiple subjects like beer choice, music preference, age and appearance of the car, and how we would pay for gas, we give "B" the ticket and let him drive us.
Does that get him off of the hook for stealing?

blogs are funny things.
I started an entry with something personal... no... it was personal to someone else but it effected me - I realized that's something I can't share with "anyone". I don't mean to say that you, reader, are just "anyone"... but you could be. I am. Anyway, weird day.
The first blog I ever read was of a very personal nature by a very depressed girl - it put me off the whole sharing online thing. My brother has had some blog problems as well.
The next blog I read a few years later had some great, funny writing, by an acquaintance. He then passed it on to a political blogger, also very good.
Now I use Shrook and get updates on multiple random blogs - mostly news and techy and politics.
I still don't know what this blog is yet - I think work and entertainment, and the occasional picture overflow from flickr.
Work. This week is the start megga planning, help emails to follow.
And for now, here is a tribute to the always working "L".

My Trapeze Teacher...
is going to Sri Lanka.
you can help him get there by giving money at this site. If you haven't given already this is your chance to know exactly where and what it does.
Anyway, had a good tumbling class and took a few good snaps.

14
I met someone tonight who has visited 18 countries.
I have traveled to 40 states... but only 14 countries... I will fix this in march - but I was bested. I accept this defeat.
14 hour work day. sleep.

start of work
I am leaving for work in five minutes.
Today I am a PA.
I am guessing I will be home around 3 am.
Time me.
I remember when movies used to be magic.

HAS to be a movie
One of those news articles that is being made into a movie as we speak... read... write... whatever.
French art thief on trial again
-may sound boring, but stealing art is always fun... and there is more...
Stephane Breitwieser, 33, has admitted stealing 239 artworks - including priceless masterpieces in seven European countries in 1995-2001.
-nice work, good job, young.
Breitwieser scoured European museums, pilfering works which he hid in his rucksack or inside his coat, then simply walked out
-yeah, you read it right... now comes the drama
His mother, Mireille Stengel, is also on trial for having destroyed more than 200 works stolen by her son, who had stored them at her home... She admitted having cut up canvases "to punish her son," who she alleged had "terrorised" her.
-Cut up canvases... to punish her son... what???
mom "you didn't take out the garbage, you know I can't... why do you keep terrorising me?"
son "But I brought you a new gift, a painting."
mom "let me see it..." CUTS PAINTING IN PIECES "Now you have more garbage to take out."
great story - someone get on that.
ps crossfire is finally over!

F.I.G.s (what do you like in a girl?)
Here we go - theory time...
First Impression Girls
There are girls that I am magnetically / chemically attracted to within minutes - seconds - of meeting. These girls could ask me to do anything - Done.
I have found when someone asks me, "What do you look for in a girlfriend?" I will take the qualities of these F.I.G.s, find common trait, and say that's what I am looking for... there has been an exception or two (took longer), but that's because I didn't have a real person to person talk with her for a while. Things I have found in common between FIGs;
smart
motivated (does things)
confident
laughs at my dumb jokes (makes me want to tell jokes),
knows how to converse (asks the right questions, listens, talks)
pretty (yeah, yeah, I think everyone I like is pretty, eye of beholder thing)
Now for the rub.
They all have boyfriends. Really. Girls this great always have boyfriends - I think it helps the confidence thing. Again, there is the exception - just breaking up still counts, because it was probably a long term relationship and they are still hung up on some dude.
I guess I am looking for a really good one night stand. One that lasts forever - always fresh, always flirting, can always make my heart race. Maybe this is why I am still friends with my ex's.
Related note- one of my first FIGs from highschool is getting married. We haven't talked since graduation but her yearbook signing still kills me.

Obsessed.
I have become obsessed with my photos. I think it is because it is my only creative outlet of late. I guess this means I will have to either buy a building soon, or a better camera... ok AND a better camera.
My Trapeze Teacher just purchased a cello. I may have to play it when he is gone, you know, to pick up chicks.
He isn't talking for three days... he got a number, just for carrying a cello... not talking, carrying.
I am totally amazed at the stories of survival coming from the Tsunami.
An Indonesian woman swept out to sea by the tsunami has been rescued by a tuna-fishing vessel after five days adrift.
and nice people
Sandra Bullock donates $1 mil for tsunami
and my favorite has to be
A 10-year-old British girl saved 100 other tourists... The beach was one of the few on the Thai island of Phuket where no-one was killed.
my beard keeps a growin'

Gilligan's Island
I spent the day playing with my pictures, I realized how easy it was to get people to view them. Just use the words - boobs, cleavage, tits, etc... and people will come a runnin'.
I have a few cool pictures but they were just schooled by some mammary glands. Maybe I'll produce some porn. Good money.
I missed the vikings game, they lost, but we are in the playoffs - which is good.
Apple's website is a very nice gesture.
'Fockers' sets two box office records. A little about my sense of humor. I like to be surprised - shocked even... usually with "words" and "thoughts" or even "wit"... on the other hand - a little slapstick can be funny - like Dodgeball. I think, what I have dubbed, "Gilligan's Island humor" is painful. The goofy guy is embarrassed or hurt through a series of misunderstandings and lies is not funny to me. I am one of the few people on the earth who did/does not like "meet the parents" or "Curb Your Enthusiasm". I think you can see them all acting in Curb... you can see them think "what if I say..." right before they talk. If everyone slowed down a second and explained why they were acting the way they were and listened to other people the show would not be funny. Irrational... I am fine being the only one who is truly annoyed by the entire genre (gilligan's island humor) of film and TV, please go back to your DVD "Curb" and we'll chat later... ok, I'll watch it with you.

Resolutions
1. try to write daily, blog or otherwise
2. have all of my friends become rich and/or famous... I don't want to meet rich and famous people, but I want my friends to become so. I want backstage passes and parties in amazing places.
yeah, good new year's eve. Lots o' good people, places, drinks.
see the pictures here.
There have been a few good parties - birthday, skating, and christmas.
Now I must recover.
I didn't say how much I have to write.
