I like people
Riding on the train I was looking at a few photos on my camera... boom - stop... I get off, and the person stepping on says, "hey, wait" and points out my phone that I would have left on the seat. I say, "thank you very much - you're a lifesaver" (cheesy, I know). I walk towards the exit where someone is standing by the entrance. I smile and nod. He nods. I walk out the exit and use my card to swipe him in. He says, "thank you very much" and I say, "have a good night". what goes around comes around and all that.

So the other day I was just hangin' out on the train, mindin' my own business and I was like having an iced coffee and a chocolate chip cookie and this guy on the subway, he left his phone on the seat and I was like, as I handed it to him, "hey buddy, you left this!" And he was like, "Thank you very much, you are a lifesaver." Then he got off the train.
A few minutes later I found myself alone on that train as another man boarded. He made his way toward me keeping his head down and then that man took out a knife and he stuck it in my side and took my wallet and my phone and my cookie. I think he would have taken my coffee too if it hadn't spilled when he stabbed me.
I sure wish that guy with the cell phone had been there instead of paying it forward and having a wonderful day... as I'm writing this from a hospital bed where I've just had my spleen removed.
At least SOMEONE had a good day.
