"I copy that" is walkie-talkie talk for - I understand, will do, gotcha, ok, alright, yup, uh-huh, and much more depending on the inflection of the voice.

The hippy in me says, "stop the hatin', maaaan..."

Today I saw a session at the actors studio, it was really good, almost good enough to renew my faith in american theater, almost.

Celebrities are funny, not only the idea of them, but getting married after a short while... let's see, how long do we give Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes? (they are getting married, and I found out on BBC before CNN, weird... maybe because it happened in Paris, and we don't like the french, duh)

In the "WHY" category of the news, we bring you -

"Gov. Jeb Bush asked a prosecutor Friday to investigate why Terri Schiavo collapsed 15 years ago, calling into question how long it took her husband to call 911 after he found her."
-seriously, move on.

"The Senate may be within one or two votes of passing a constitutional amendment to ban desecration of the U.S. flag, clearing the way for ratification by the states, a key opponent of the measure said Tuesday."
-I love this country, but people are going to do what they are going to do, and it doesn't hurt anyone (physically), it just is a proof that we are able to do what we want, a true example of freedom.

and finally,
"A Kansas preacher and gay rights foe whose congregation is protesting military funerals around the country said he's coming to Idaho tomorrow to picket the memorial for an Idaho National Guard soldier killed in Iraq."
-idiot. This is the same idiot with the "God Hates Fags" website. I rarely use the word hate, I don't like it - I don't think things are so black and white. There are very few things in this world that I hate. I personally don't think God hates anything - being that He made everything. I am not going to write much more about this man, I may look at his site a bit and get mad, but I believe that I can say with certainty that I hate Fred Phelps. It is so sad. Hate only breeds more hate and fear. And ignorance is at the base of it all. Fred, thank you for thinking that you are taking care of my eternal soul - Stop it.

In most cases, I've have this perverse talent for seeing the humour in things most others find disturbing. But Fred Phelps, as much as I'd like to laugh him off as just another right-wing nutcase, literally makes me feel ill. If he were just a random eccentric with a spot on public access, I'd feel a bit less uncomfortable. But the fact that he actually has a church membership ... I can't get over it.
